1. What to do if I tag a play incorrectly?

If a play was tagged incorrectly, tap on Go to Playlist, then double tap the play that was entered incorrectly. Lastly, manually enter the correct play.

2. What do I do when there is a penalty?

a. If you have not already tapped ADD PLAY, then you will tap PENALTY along with the rest of the play and then update the new ball spot, and click ADD PLAY

b. If you have already tapped ADD PLAY then you will need to manually change DOWN, DISTANCE, and BALL ON to reflect the current situation of the game.

3. How many people do I need to operate the software on gameday?

Only one person needs to be dedicated to play entry on game day (one for offense and one for defense). Best practice is to have a “spotter” with the operator to help ID opponents’ fronts/concepts/etc.

4. Do I have to fill out every point of data?

No, you do not have to fill out every data point. Although, the more you do enter the more in-depth information you will receive in the Reports

5. What if I miss an entire play entry?

In this situation you should tap Flag to let you know where the missed play will be in the download file, used to import into Hudl. Before importing you will need to add an empty spot to fill the place for the missed call. From there you can enter what you missed, and all the other plays will be correctly matched.

6. How should I adjust my play calls based on efficiency?

Our best play callers have followed the “60% Rule.” When the play is over 60% efficient, keep calling it. When the play is less than 60% efficient, start to add your wrinkles or go away from calling this play.

7. What if my film either has a missed clip or an added clip?

Before you import the data file into Hudl it is essential to scan through your film to make sure there are no missing or extra clips. Once you have confirmed this you will be able to import with no issues.

8. How can I move my information from the configuration templates to the software?

Copy and paste will work to move your information from the templates, just make sure that you single click the cell you want the information to be.

9. What do I do if my app is not working?

Make sure to check for updates on your device and your app, as well as make sure you are logged out on any other devices. If you're still having issues, please contact your Sales Rep or Customer Support.
