Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Product Manager to join our team at Modern Football. In this role, you will own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, helping us build innovative tools that deliver real-time analytics and workflow solutions for football coaches and organizations. You will work closely with engineering, design, sales, and football operations teams to shape features that support player evaluation, practice planning, and data-driven decision-making. This is a unique opportunity to define the future of football technology and directly impact how the game is coached at the highest levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for new features and enhancements — from discovery through launch and iteration.

  • Partner with customers, coaches, and internal stakeholders to deeply understand pain points and translate them into intuitive, high-impact product solutions.

  • Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering and design.

  • Drive execution through agile development processes, ensuring alignment across teams and timely delivery.

  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with company strategy and customer needs.

  • Measure the success of product initiatives through data, user feedback, and performance metrics, and iterate based on learnings.

  • Champion the user experience, ensuring that all features are designed with ease of use and coach workflows in mind.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in football and sports analytics.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably at a B2B SaaS or sports tech company.

  • Proven ability to take a product from concept to launch in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with product metrics, dashboards, and data-informed decision making.

  • Experience writing clear product specs, user stories, and managing backlogs.

  • Passion for building intuitive, high-performing products that users love.

  • Self-starter with high attention to detail and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of football workflows, especially in player evaluation, practice planning, or film breakdown.

  • Experience building products for coaches, athletes, or performance staff.

  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Jira, and product analytics platforms.

  • Former football player or coach, or prior experience working in a football environment.

  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth company setting.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • Opportunity to work in a vibrant and innovative environment.

  • Flexible working hours and remote work options.

  • Professional development opportunities and career growth.

  • Health insurance and other employee benefits.
