Job Description:

We are seeking a driven and analytical Business Operations & Strategy Manager to join our team at Modern Football. In this role, you will work directly with executive leadership to design and execute company-wide initiatives that accelerate growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall performance of the business. You will play a critical role in aligning strategic goals with tactical execution, leveraging data and cross-functional collaboration to ensure Modern Football continues to lead in real-time analytics and productivity solutions for American football programs. This is a unique opportunity to shape the internal systems, reporting infrastructure, and strategic roadmap of a high-growth sports tech startup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and identify opportunities to drive operational excellence across the business.

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting systems to monitor KPIs across sales, customer success, product, and finance.

• Partner with leadership on strategic planning processes, including goal setting, forecasting, and performance tracking.

• Conduct deep-dive analyses on growth opportunities, product usage trends, customer segmentation, pricing models, and market dynamics.

• Evaluate and improve core systems and business processes to enhance productivity and scalability.

• Support go-to-market strategy development through data analysis, experimentation, and stakeholder alignment.

• Manage key projects that involve multiple departments, ensuring alignment with company goals and timely execution.

• Provide insights and recommendations based on performance metrics to guide decision-making at all levels of the organization.

• Facilitate internal communications and coordination to ensure teams are informed, accountable, and empowered to succeed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in business operations, strategy consulting, or a similar strategic role at a B2B SaaS or high-growth startup.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, conduct quantitative analyses, and translate data into actionable insights.

• Exceptional project management skills and experience managing cross-functional initiatives.

• Proficiency in business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable working independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Former football player, coach, or operational staff member.

• Experience working with startups or early-stage technology companies.

• Familiarity with SaaS financial and operational metrics.

• Passion for sports technology and a deep appreciation for football culture and the coaching profession.

• Understanding of CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales/CS processes.
